Know when to fold ‘em.

Widely used by schools and community centers, telescopic systems are the best solution for efficiently using space. Telescopic systems easily retract and nest neatly when not in use, enabling you to recapture substantial square footage. As a certified dealer of Hussey seating, we specialize in Hussey’s Maxam and Maxam+ telescoping systems.

Telescopic seating comes in two types: bleacher and platform.

Bleachers employ bench seating. With row spacing between 22 and 33 inches, they accommodate more spectators per square foot.

Platform systems are often employed in multi-use spaces like cafetoriums and lecture halls. With spacing between rows that is 30% larger than bleacher seating—plus padded folding chairs fixed to the platform—platform systems deliver comfort along with efficiency.

For both bleacher and platform systems, there are several options to consider, depending on the size and purpose of your space:

Wall-Attached Telescopics

Amazingly adaptable. As their name implies, these systems attach to a rear wall and stack efficiently when not in use, enabling maximum use of space.

Freestanding Telescopics

Reinforced with an extra-strong rear column, these systems are the right option for buildings that can’t support the wall-loading necessary for wall-attached systems or for those applications that require extra floor space with seating.

Reverse-Fold Telescopics

Often used for balcony seating, reverse-fold systems retract from back to front to create additional space behind the seating unit—space that can be used for practice areas, batting cages, volleyball, gymnastics, and more.

Portable Units
